🇺🇸 It’s not too difficult to establish goals, but this is not what we work for. Leaders know that the work is done to reach the goals. Establishing, but not reaching goals, spread a state of accommodation among all involved. Soon goals will become just a picture in the wall and everybody will believe goals are useless.
So what’s the best way to reach goals? I always believe every goal is reachable, if you know how to do it. It doesn’t matter how high or difficult a goal can be, once we can find the way to get there everything is possible. The entire process of reaching goals is based on finding ways to reach them. Sometimes we know how to reach goals even before establish them. It’s the leader’s job to keep the goals relevant to all.
How to do that? Every house use to have a high ceiling. Some higher than others. Usually who is moving into a house is not too much concern about the height of the ceiling when it comes to a situation to change bulbs. The resident knows that it doesn’t matter how high is the ceiling, all that would be needed is a ladder tall enough to reach the bulb. The resident knows that ladder must be got and the provisions will be made for it. It’s just an example how a person, a team, a company can develop efforts to create a movement towards reaching the goals. The more people are involved, the better the chances to make it.
Reaching goals can be a very difficult challenge, but sometimes all we need to find new ways is to change the way we’re thinking. When the way is dark, it could be just a matter of changing the bulb.

🇧🇷 Não é tão difícil estabelecer alvos, mas não é pra isso que se trabalha. Líderes sabem que o trabalho é feito para alcançar alvos. Estabelecer e não alcançar, espalha um estado de acomodação entre os envolvidos. Logo os alvos vão se tornar apenas uma figura na parede e todos vão achar alvos algo inútil. Qual a melhor maneira de alcançar alvos? Sempre acreditei que todo alvo é alcançável, se souber como fazer. Não importa o quão alto ou difícil seja, uma vez que descubramos o caminho tudo vai ser possível. Todo processo de alcançar alvos é baseado em encontrar maneiras de alcançá-los. Às vezes já sabemos antes mesmo de estabelece-los. É função do líder manter os alvos relevantes para todos. Como fazer isso? Toda casa tem o teto alto. Algumas mais do que outras. Quem se muda para uma casa não tem muita preocupação com a altura do teto no caso de ter que trocar uma lâmpada. O morador sabe que não importa quão alto o teto é, tudo que vai precisar é de uma escada alta o suficiente para alcançar a lâmpada. O morador precisa conseguir essa escada e vai tomar as providências para isso. É só um exemplo de como uma pessoa, uma equipe, uma empresa podem desenvolver esforços para criar movimento buscando alcançar alvos. Quanto maior o envolvimento, maiores as chances de alcançar. Alcançar alvos poder ser um desafio, mas às vezes tudo que se precisa para encontrar novas soluções é mudar o pensamento. Quando o caminho está escuro, pode ser só uma questão de trocar a lâmpada.
