🇺🇸 Words are as important as the way we speak them. We can pronounce them, write them, use gestures and signs to express them and sometimes even just a look can say all the words e want to. The more we know how to use them, the better we can connect to others, that’s the main reason for the words.
Words have power to change situations. They can turn thoughts, feelings and actions. Kind like PLIERS. Our word for today. The root comes from the latin plicāre, with means “to fold, to bend”. The idea pretty is clear. Pliers can grab something and make them to fold. Of course it’ll also depend on the strength is applied. Pliers are not like an automatic machine that does the job by itself. It’s just a tool to be used.
Words are tools too. They cannot do everything by themselves. They need clarification, intonation, they need to be aimed to the right spot at the right time. Different from pliers, words don’t work well with strength. Usually when we enforce words they cause bad reaction. We can bend hearts and minds using words, but it’s better when we do it kindly. The same way it’s required ability to work with pliers, it’s required wisdom to work with words. We can hold people by the heart if our words sound positive and encouraging. I still think truthful words are the best way to express what we want.

Vem do árabe alliqāt, e quer dizer “algo que gruda, que adere”. Usamos alicates para segurar algum objeto com firmeza e assim podermos trabalhar com o objeto. Tem vezes que a força das nossas mãos não é suficiente para segurar do jeito que precisa.
Uma das experiências mais marcantes na vida é criar conexões, construir pontes que liguem pessoas e rompam as separações. Quando pensamos em pontes e conexões não relacionamos com o uso da força. São passagens e engates que permitem livre fluxo nas relações pessoais. Com alicates usamos a força, com palavras usamos a sabedoria. O bom uso das palavras atrai os pensamentos e sentimentos. Discursos, poemas, letras de música têm conquistado o interesse e comprometimento das pessoas em todo lugar. E através dessas formas as palavras envolvem as pessoas segurando-as firme pelo coração.
