🇺🇸 As human beings we are story tellers. That’s how we use to build our life. To recreate moments bringing out the marks they left. The wonder of telling stories is that it can connect to people in so many different ways, so everyone has a story to tell about the same story. Stories are channels to synchronize people’s mind on a a common point. The leaderactive will understand that and use its power not only to bring the story, but also to embrace it the audience with the feeling that what’s happening in the story makes sense to them. We call this a narrative. In a farm a dog had the responsibility to watch out that not a single cow got lost from the herd. One day the fence got broken and all cows escaped. Frightened, the dog ran after all, but no one seemed to care for his efforts. Guided by his instinct, he reached the oldest cow and made her got back to the corral and the other cows followed her. Tired, he sat at the broken part of the fence and waited for his master to come back. I tried to use this story to point that a narrative has a structure (character, screenplay and background), has to create connection (elements, level of reality and a frequency) and reach a purpose (direct, indirect and open). We tell stories because all of us have something to say and that can bring meaning for someone at some point in life. A well told story empowers the mind and ignite people. Where could this end up? 🇧🇷 Como humanos somos contadores de histórias. Assim construímos a vida. Recriamos momentos despertando as marcas que eles deixam. O bom de contar histórias é que cria conexão com as pessoas de tantas formas diferentes, que cada um tem uma história pra contar sobre a mesma história. Histórias são canais que sincronizam as mentes para um ponto em comum. O liderativo entende isso e usa esse poder não só pra trazer a história, mas também para envolver a audiência com o sentimento de que o que está acontecendo na história faz sentido também. Chamamos isso de narrativa. Numa fazenda um cachorro tinha a responsabilidade de vigiar pra que nenhuma vaca fugisse do rebanho. Um dia a cerca quebrou e todas fugiram. Assustado, ele correu atrás delas, mas elas não se importaram com seus esforços. Seguindo seu instinto, ele conseguiu fazer a vaca mais velha voltar pro curral e as outras a seguiram. Cansado, ele sentou no buraco da cerca e esperou seu dono voltar. Usei essa história pra destacar que a narrativa tem uma estrutura (personagem, roteiro e ambiente), cria uma conexão (elementos, nível de realidade e freqüência de contato) e atinge um propósito (direto, indireto e aberto).
