In life we are constant seeking for something, better opportunities, new possibilities, another chances. We tend to connect all to a purpose we have to fulfill in life. Among all these, we are looking for answers.

Answers are the key to understand so many things, but unfortunately to find answers is not that simple. That is the reason why we should put more efforts on formulating better questions. A good question is like a magnet to attract answers. A good question works in two ways: gives clarity to the person being asked and facilitates the answer. It is like making the person we are asking more comfortable and confident in talking to us. Feeling confident is essencial.

There is a lot of confusion on people's mind and this affects their ability in bringing answers. We will never loose learning how to ask good questions.

“Para os que estão buscando por respostas desenvolver a habilidade de formular perguntas é extremamente importante”.

Na vida estamos constantemente buscando por algo, sejam melhores oportunidade, novas possibilidades ou outras chances. Tendemos a conectar tudo a um propósito que temos que cumprir na vida. No meio de tudo isso, buscamos por respostas.

Respostas são a chave para compreender muitas coisas, mas infelizmente encontrar respostas não é simples. Por isso deveríamos por mais empenho em formular melhores perguntas. Uma boa pergunta é como um ímã para atrair respostas. Uma boa pergunta funciona de duas maneiras: esclarece a quem está sendo perguntado e facilita a resposta. Isso deixa a pessoa mais confiante e confortável para falar conosco. Sentir-se confiante é essencial.

Existe muita confusão na mente das pessoas e isso afeta sua habilidade de dar respostas. Nunca vamos sair perdendo se aprendermos a fazer boas perguntas.

EXISTENCE // EXISTÊNCIA

🇺🇸 We’re living in an era very much influenced by the ideas of the existentialism. What some could call “the rediscovery of the human individual”. One of the thoughts that had a huge impact came from René Descartes: “I think therefore I am”. He explained: “we cannot doubt of our existence”.
 As seeds, words are filled with life. If we could say that we’re aware of our existence when we think, so when we speak our words share life to others, like a pollination. Life gains a wider perspective when we share to each other what we live. And that brings to today’s word: EXISTENCE. That’s not our essence, because our essence is the source where we come from, but existence connects us with that source.
 The root of the word is the latin and I like to go to the etymology because enriches our understanding. We have ex, which means “out”, “directing to a point” and sistere, which means “take a stand”. The modern idea of existence is more related with something steady, just like a presence. In fact, what the word really means is existence is a purpose for something, it’s not a random experience. The sooner we find the reason we’re stood for, the brighter life will be. That’s the question! How to find the purpose to life? Think! Think! If existence comes from thinking, we’ll find the reason connecting your thoughts with the source.
 Doubting and thinking are related. When we question, we start to look for answers. If we’re looking for answers, we’ll find options. Options will give us the power of choosing. Purpose will come with choices.

🇧🇷 Vivemos numa era muito influenciada pelas ideias do existencialismo. O que poderíamos chamar de “redescoberta do indivíduo humano”. Um dos pensamentos de grande impacto veio de Rene Descartes: “Penso, logo existo”. Ele explica depois: “não podemos duvidar de nossa existência”.
 Como sementes, palavras são cheias de vida. Se podemos estar conscientes da existência porque pensamos, quando falamos nossas palavras partilham vida com outros, como uma polinização. A vida ganha mais perspectiva quando compartilhamos. O que nos leva à palavra de hoje: EXISTÊNCIA. Ela não é nossa essência, porque nossa essência é a fonte de onde vimos. Existência nos conecta à fonte.
 A raiz da palavra é o latin e gosto de etimologia porque enriquece o entendimento. Temos ex, que significa “para fora” e sistere, que significa “tomar uma posição”. A ideia moderna de existência é mais ligada a algo parado, como uma presença. Na verdade o significado da palavra indica que existência é algo com um propósito, não um acaso. Quanto mais rápido descobrirmos a razão de existirmos, mais iluminada a vida vai ser. Eis a questão! Como encontrar o propósito para a vida? Pense! Pense! Se existência vem pelo pensamento, encontraremos a razão conectando os pensamentos à fonte.
 Dúvida e pensamento estão ligados. Quando questionamos, buscamos por respostas. Se buscamos por respostas, encontramos opções. Opções nos dão poder de escolha. Propósito vem com as escolhas.

PUNTA CANA

🇺🇸 Punta Cana is located in the east part of Dominican Republic and is considered one of the most pleasurable places for tourism. Every year, above 6 million people use to go to visit the country, of which more than 4 million people go to visit and stay in Punta Cana.
 The main reasons are the beauty of the beaches, the all-inclusive resorts they have and the good weather. People are been attracted for the privilege of enjoy and relax in places with good food, fantastic amenities and friendly people. Among these people it’s me! I'm still looking for the chance to take few days and go there. In my mind it would be one of the greatest trips I’ve even done, until this year.
 From 2018 to 2019, were reported that 10 American citizens died in Dominican Republic and it seems that the deaths are related with hotels staying. There are other reports from people that went there and returned sick to US, claiming they did smell some sort of strong chemical product in the hotel rooms. Some hotels are notifying they are establishing new safety procedures, while local authorities are trying to understand exactly what happened. So far the majority of the deaths seem to be far from be explained, or remain as a mystery. We’re sorry for all who have been sorrow and suffering, hoping they can find peace.
 It’s a challenge to live trying to understand unexplained things and expecting for the answer to come. Strong are those who can live above uncertainty and believe they’ll still see joy overcoming sadness.

🇧🇷 Punta Cana está localizada na parte leste da República Dominicana e é considerado um dos lugares mais aprazíveis para o turismo. Por ano, acima de 6 milhões de pessoas visitam o país, do quais mais de 4 milhões são os que vão se hospedar e fazer turismo em Punta Cana.
 As principais razões são a beleza das praias, os resorts com tudo incluído e o clima maravilhoso. Pessoas são atraídas pelo privilégio de desfrutar os lugares com boa comida, fantásticas instalações, gente amigável e relaxar. Eu estou entre essas pessoas! Ainda espero ter a chance de poder ir passar uns dias lá. Na minha mente vai ser uma das viagens mais legais que eu já fiz. Mas isso até este ano.
 De 2018 a 2019, foram registradas 10 mortes de cidadãos americanos na República Dominicana e as mortes parecem estar relacionadas com os hotéis. Outros turistas retornaram doentes para os EUA, reclamando terem sofrido com algum fator químico nos quartos dos hotéis. Alguns hotéis estão informando que adotaram novas medidas de segurança e as autoridades locais estão tentando entender exatamente o que aconteceu. Até agora a maioria dos casos parecem longe de serem explicados, ou continuam em mistério. Lamentamos pelos que estão tristes e sofrendo e desejamos que encontrem paz.
 É um desafio viver tentando entender coisas inexplicáveis e esperar pelas respostas. Fortes são aqueles que conseguem viver acima da incerteza e acreditam que ainda verão a alegria vencer a tristeza.

WHEN REALITY COMES TRUE / QUANDO A REALIDADE ACONTECE

🇺🇸 I was impressed with the story I read recently. I don’t know if it’s because I’m from the movie generation, but I always did a very good distinction between life in the screen and reality. For me screen is for entertainment, but after internet it’s for information too. This story is beyond what I’ve seen so far.
 In 2011 Amy Fry-Pitzen took her 6 years old son, Timmothy, to a road trip. Plans are to see a zoo and a water park. Three days later her body was found in a hotel room. She committed suicide leaving a note saying that her son was with people who love him and she wrote: "You’ll never find him”. The boy is lost since then. It’s horrible, because there was no clue about what happened. But in the article they said that 8 years later the boy showed up again more that 300 miles from his hometown. That’s incredible! He was wandering through a neighborhood and a young woman call the policy. He identified himself as Timmothy Pitzen saying he had escaped from two man who kept him captive for 7 years and he wanted to go home. The police took him to the hospital and he told them the whole story and even identified the kidnappers.
 Just few days later I followed the link where I saw the story and something new happened. I got really frustated, but the story ends with the revelation through DNA tests that that guy wasn’t Timmoty Pitzen. Shocking. The family now is devastating again and again, nobody knows what really happened. 
 Having answers is very important to me. What a shocking story, that shows we are so small and impotent. I hope for Timmothy to return to his family. I always hope for better days with truthful answers.

🇧🇷 Fiquei impressionado com uma história que li recentemente. Não sei se é porque sou da geração dos filmes, mas sempre distingui bem entre a realidade e a telinha. Pra mim a telinha é pra diversão, mas depois da internet também serve pra informação. Essa história vai além de tudo que já vi até agora.
 Em 2011, Amy Fry-Pitzen levou seu filho de 6 anos, Timmothy, pra uma viagem. Iam passar no zoológico e no parque aquático. Três dias depois o corpo dela é encontrado num hotel. Ela suicidou deixando uma nota dizendo que seu filho estava com quem o amava e disse: “Vocês nunca o encontrarão”. É horrível, porque não ficou nenhuma pista do que aconteceu. Mas no artigo diz que 8 anos depois o menino apareceu de novo mais de 500 Km distância de onde morava. É incrível! Ele estava vagando numa vizinhança e uma jovem chamou a polícia. Ele se identificou como Timmothy dizendo que havia escapado de dois homens que o mantiveram cativo por 7 anos e que queria ir pra casa. A polícia levou ele pro hospital e ele contou toda história, inclusive identificando os seqüestradores.
 Poucos dias depois, eu segui o link da história e algo novo aconteceu. Fiquei mesmo frustrado, mas a história termina com a revelação por teste de DNA que o rapaz não é Timmothy Pitzen. Chocante! A família agora está devastada de novo e mais uma vez não se tem idéia do que aconteceu.
 Ter respostas é importante pra mim. Que história chocante, mostra quão pequenos e impotentes somos. Espero que Timmothy volte para sua família. Espero por melhores dias com respostas verdadeiras.
