🇺🇸 I was chatting with my friend Alex about this time of coronavirus and our concern about the correlation with the end of the world. He mentioned something interesting, that this time of quarantine could be a time to refill the spiritual basis of our life. During this time no one could complain about the lack of time to do it.
For those who are familiarized with the subject that reminded me of the parable that Jesus told about the Wise and Foolish Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). The lesson of that parable is be prepared for the unexpected and having provision in case of something goes different of what we think. In times of confinement we’re talking about having extra money and extra food. Now, spiritually speaking, what would that be?
A lot of people is ready to give prophetic explanations for every single event that is happening in the world. Social media groups have being filled with that. But Jesus, who is the greatest advisor about the subject of the end of the world, advised us: that day will come as a thief breaking into a house (Matthew 24:42-44). It’s easy to be prepare to the end and pick the victorious side. The thing is to face the surprise! What could be a surprise? Basically it’s something that affect our plans, our intentions, our desires.
Everybody will be caught on a surprise and that moment will determine the destiny of our life for ever. It’s something for us to think about it. So I won't say anything else, because I don’t want to ruin the surprise.

🇧🇷 Estava papeando com meu amigo Alex sobre este tempo de coronavírus e nossa preocupação da relação com o fim do mundo. Ele disse algo interessante, que esta quarentena poderia ser um tempo para estocar alimento espiritual. Neste período ninguém pode reclamar de não ter tempo para isso. Para quem está familiarizado com o assunto, isso me fez lembrar da parábola que Jesus contou sobre as 10 Virgens (Mateus 25:1-13). A lição da parábola é estar preparados para o inesperado e ter provisão em caso de algo ir diferente daquilo que pensamos. Em tempos de confinamento estamos falando sobre ter dinheiro e comida extras. Agora, espiritualmente falando, isso tem a ver com o que? Muitas pessoas estão prontas para dar explicações proféticas sobre cada evento que acontece no mundo. Grupos de mídias sociais estão sendo cheios com isso. Jesus, o grande orientador sobre assuntos de fim do mundo, nos aconselhou: aquele dia vai vir como um ladrão entra numa casa (Mateus 24:42-44). É fácil se preparar para o fim e escolher ficar do lado vitorioso. O negócio é enfrentar a surpresa! O que poderia ser a surpresa? Basicamente é o que afeta nossos planos, intenções e desejos. Todos serão pegos de surpresa e esse momento vai determinar o destino de nossa vida pra sempre. É algo para se pensar. Então não vou dizer mais nada aqui, porque não quero estragar a surpresa.
