🇺🇸 My wife told me about this story of a lion, a tiger and a bear, rescued from a basement of drug dealers when they were few months old. They were brought to Noah’s Ark Sanctuary in Georgia 18 years ago and lived inseparable since then. Sadly the lion died on August 2016 and the tiger on December 2018.
For 15 years they became the main attraction in the sanctuary. The trio was named BLT (bear, lion, tiger). They got into the sanctuary in very poor conditions. They were taken care, treated from parasites, fed and developed bonds like three great friends. They shared the same enclosure, eating together, playing together, showing affection to each other the whole time. It’s a rare and live example of a real friendship.
It seems that friendship can have the same nature to humans and animals. Friendship can overcome barriers like race, culture, genre, social level, time and distance. What’s the element that builds a strong friendship? There is a common element in real friendships: sharing the same experiences. When people go through the same situation and they share with each other all the good and bad, those bonds strengthen the relationship to the point that can last a life long. I don’t know if you’re looking for real friends, but look around and you’ll see them right at your side while you’re going through the same story.

🇧🇷 Minha esposa me contou sobre a história de um leão, um tigre e um urso, que foram resgatados de uma casa de traficantes quando tinham poucos meses de vida. Foram levados para um santuário de animais há 18 anos viveram inseparáveis. Infelizmente o leão morreu em 2016 e o tigre em 2018.
Por 15 anos se tornaram a principal atração do santuário. O trio ficou conhecido como BLT (bear, lion, tiger, um trocadilho de um famoso sanduíche americano com bacon, alface e tomate). Foram cuidados, tratados de enfermidades e desenvolveram uma grande amizade. Viveram na mesma jaula, comiam e brincavam juntos, mostrando afeição um pelo outro. Um raro exemplo de uma verdadeira amizade.
Parece que amizade pode ter a mesma natureza para humanos e animais. Amizade pode superar barreiras como raça, cultura, gênero, nível social, tempo e distância. Qual o elemento que torna uma amizade forte? Tem um elemento comum em amizades verdadeiras: partilhar mesmas experiências. Passar pelas mesmas situações e partilhar o bom e o ruim delas, são laços que fortalecem o relacionamento ao ponto de durar por toda vida.
