🇺🇸 Words are related to memories in two ways: by bringing back to our mind their meaning and events connected with, and because we have to remember them. That’s how we start to learn words when we’re babies. As we grow, the words grow, enriching our culture, like a huge field, ripping good fruits.
As the words connect to our knowledge, they become attached to our mind, like they’ve been stapled to it and this takes us to today’s word: STAPLER. It’s a machine that shoots pieces of bended wires, known as staples, attaching together sheets of papers to each other or to a wood board, even used in surgical procedures, instead of stitches. It was invented by George McGill in 1866.
The staple means the principal item in a market, usually the basic item in old trades. Staple were the place pointed to the royalty where the merchants were allowed to trade their goods. The use of staples started with the Persians, for the construction of Pasargadae. They had the need to hold the rocks used in the construction together, so they used bended metal nails and stuck them in the rocks. Staplers were created to keep good and important things together. In this case, there’s no bigger or smaller, more or less important, everyone is connect to hold what really matters to everybody. It’s like to fulfill a mission.
Don’t we still have a mission while we’re living in this planet? The stapler is like a great commander sending staples (each one of us), to bring all the good and important things in this world together.

Aparelho que dispara arames metálicos dobrados nas pontas, para prender juntas folhas de papel, ou prende-las à uma placa de madeira, e até usado em procedimentos cirúrgicos, no lugar de pontos. Inventado em 1866 por George McGill.
A palavra grampo vem do gótico krampa e do italiano grampa, do latim grampus. O significado é "garra". Grampos cravam suas pontas perfurando os objetos e envergando por detrás para que não haja possibilidade de se soltarem. O uso começou na Pérsia durante a construção de Pasárgada. Foi a maneira de fazerem com que as pedras ficassem presas umas às outras. Grampeadores foram criados para juntar coisas boas e importantes. Nesse caso, não tem maior nem menor, mais ou menos importante. Todos estão conectados para manter o que realmente importa. É como cumprir uma missão.
