🇺🇸 Time is very important in leadership. Depending on the moment a person can move from spectator to the protagonist role. The leaderactive works hard to develop a good relationship with time. A good action can be completely bad if it’s done in the wrong time. The challenge is to understand the rhythm of time.
What means “to develop a good relationship with time”? There are two important things we should know about time: it moves forward and it leaves us the record of what happened. The first one is obvious, but there’s one detail: it doesn’t mean things will stay the same. The leaderactive will remember that. Things are going to become different, somethings are going to be better, while other worse.
What makes a thing to turn into something better or worse? If we understand the record of time, we can develop a reading of the factors causing the changes and what’s the timeframe when the changes happen. Of course, considering that time makes things to change, let’s remember the conclusions will not be 100% precise. We’ll have a closer perception of how things happen. After reading that, a leader will take action. That’s why the leaderactive anticipates over the events, because he/she understands which influence is making things worse and which factors can improve things to become even better.
It’s like the fuel gauge. We know it’ll move to empty, we know the milage will have impact on it, we can follow its movement towards empty, but the time when we’ll stop to refuel it’ll make the whole difference.

🇧🇷 O tempo é muito importante na liderança. Dependendo o momento alguém pode passar de espectador para protagonista. O liderativo da duro para desenvolver um bom relacionamento com o tempo. Uma boa ação pode ser totalmente ruim se for feita na hora errada. O desafio é entender o ritmo do tempo.
O que significa “ter bom relacionamento com o tempo”? Têm duas coisas importantes para sabermos sobre o tempo: ele segue pra frente e deixa um registro do que aconteceu. A primeira é óbvia, mas tem um detalhe: não quer dizer que as coisas vão permanecer as mesmas. O liderativo vai lembrar disso. As coisas vão se tornar diferentes, algumas vão ficar melhores, enquanto outras piores.
