🇺🇸 If you ask me about what I liked to watch on TV on my childhood, there’s not doubt for me to answer: Sesame Street! That show was a reference of joy and support. I’m pretty sure who has watched the program would say the same. It’s unforgettable! (Watch the video)
Now New York city brought the program closer to reality. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first broadcasted show, the city named the west side of the 63rd street as Sesame Street. It’s the intersection of W 63rd and Broadway. It’s been 10 years since the city named the street temporarily and now fans can enjoy having a real piece of that wonderful imaginary show. Fifty years! It’s the longest children’s show running on TV. It started in 1966 with Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett wanting to help children to learn before they go to school. They though once children would watch TV anyway, why didn't take advantage of that and do something good for them? So for 3 years they prepared the idea and on November 10th of 1969 the first program was aired on TV. Sesame Street is a good example of how can we well relate different generations. That’s a challenge! People say the conflict of generations is a tough thing to handle, but it’s not impossible. Of course we need to allow transformation to happen, but we can still be relevant to people through out the time.
The most important generation is the one that understands the others. Could we do that for another 50 years. By the way, art my fist day in Kindergarten I wore Big Bird’s T-shirt. That got me a lot of friends!

Agora a cidade de New York trouxe o programa mais perto da realidade. Celebrando os 50 anos da transmissão do primeiro programa, a cidade nomeou a parte oeste da 63 Street de Sesame Street. É a intercessão da 63 com a Broadway. O nome tinha sido dado há 10 anos temporariamente e agora os fãs vão poder curtir um pedaço real desse maravilhoso programa imaginário. 50 anos! É o programa infantil que está a mais tempo na TV. Começou em 1966 com Joan Ganz Cooney e Lloyd Morrisett. O primeiro programa foi ao ar em 10 de novembro de 1969. No Brasil começou a ser transmitido em 12 de outubro de 1972 e a partir de 1973 ganhou um formato “brasileiro" com personagens e quadros criados pela TV brasileira. Hoje o programa é chamado de Sésamo e transmitido na TV Cultura. Vila Sésamo é um bom exemplo de como se relacionar com as gerações. Pessoas dizem que o conflito de gerações é difícil de lidar, mas não é impossível. Claro que precisamos permitir que transformações aconteçam, mas ainda podemos ser relevantes às pessoas com o passar do tempo.
A geração mais importante é a que entende as outras. Poderíamos fazer isso por mais 50 anos? A propósito, no primeiro dia do Jardim da Infância fui com a camiseta do Garibaldo e fiz o maior sucesso!
